This is another wonderful book from Eric Carle.
This is a
story about a grouchy ladybug. It tells about, how she pick a fight with other
animals no matter how large they are. Even little kids now how bullying
happens. So they will enjoy when they find out consequences of bullying.
You’ll also know about what aphids are and why they like
tree’s leaves. BTW, after reading this book I came to know what aphids are and that ladybug likes to eat aphids.
In the story, the grouchy
ladybug refuses to share aphids with other friendly ladybug and keep on
challenging the friendly ladybug. Every time she bully other animal, she
surprisingly backs down saying “oh! You are not big enough” and picks up
somebody else to put unnecessary fight with. She then meet up with a wasp, praying
mantis, sparrow, lobster, skunk and lot many other animals.
Another thing is this book has a
mini-clock in the corner of each page and talks about what the lady bug did at
that time.
You can tell this story in hilarious
manner to your kids too. Illustrations are beautiful.
